Which characters can I become?
Almost anyone iconic: action heroes, villains, gangsters, superheroes, fantasy legends and more from film and TV. The four on this page are featured examples. The library keeps growing, and you can request any character you don’t see.
How many photos do I need?
5–10 clear photos work best. Mix close-ups and half-body shots, different angles and natural light. More variety helps Alter learn what makes you you.
How realistic are the results?
Results are designed to look like stills from a real production, with real skin texture, real lighting and real film grade. The quality of your source photos has the biggest impact.
Can I create multiple characters?
Yes. Once Alter knows your face, you can step into any character in the library without uploading again.
Can I share the images on social media?
Absolutely. Every image is exported in formats sized for Instagram, TikTok and X. Personal, non-commercial sharing is included on every plan.
How long does a transformation take?
Your first transformation takes a few minutes while Alter learns your appearance. After that, new scenes render in seconds. Pro gets priority generation.
Can I customize the character’s outfit or environment?
Pro includes advanced customization: swap wardrobe, location, time of day, framing and color grade while keeping the character’s signature look.
Can I create videos?
Not yet. Short cinematic motion clips are on the roadmap.
Are my photos private?
Yes. Your photos are used only to create your transformations, are never used to train shared models, and can be permanently deleted from your account at any time.
